A Year Of Minutes (Fourth Wall Theatre)
By Emily Mildren | Published on Tuesday 22 August 2017
Not only was this show part of the Free Fringe, it also offered audiences a free piece of pie as we joined them for this black comedy, based around the committee meetings of a housing residence. The characters that live in Kristofferson Park didn’t fail to entertain and, though at times some of the humour missed the mark, it was overall a wonderfully light-hearted experience. The spirit of the NIMBY (“not in my backyard”) was brilliantly captured, as they discussed the banning of dogs in the park, troublesome new French neighbours, squeaky gates, and who should be in charge. With similarities to films such as ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘Sightseers’, ‘A Year of Minutes’ features a hilariously escalating sequence of events.
Serenity Café, until 18 Aug.
