Director/performer Zoë Lerman plays US soccer player Sophie, a consummate professional and role model who understands the demands of sport and social media. She meets Sean (writer/actor Sam Rowlands), a Welsh rugby player, a compulsive, unrestrained, party-hard bad boy who fights criticism like a rabid security dog with no off switch. Sophie has achieved success through hard work and analysis, while Sean follows the dangling carrots held aloft. Despite that, they are drawn to each other. Sophie’s love is tested though she believes Sean will change, but Sean is too wrapped up in himself to stop and think of any outcome. It’s a tight piece of work and the actors give a commanding performance with depth, energy, and humour.
