COVERING THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL SINCE 1996
Copycat (Worklight Theatre)
An hour that makes you think… is humanity screwed? An intellectual show exploring how AI became what it is now, what we can expect in the future, and a childhood talent show, with every topic masterfully connecting to another. Joe Sellman-Leava is a wizard with impressions, engaging the audience and writing a script that’s enjoyable but also packed with information. The smart use of cameras, projections, and lighting transforms a gorgeous white writer’s studio into a wild array of places ready to be explored. However, the show’s rapid pacing makes it difficult to follow, especially for those that are not following technology. Your brain may need a faster-speed processor, but overall, it’s a fascinating watch.
Pleasance Dome, until 31 Aug.
