Sorry (I Broke Your Arms and Legs) (Maybe You Like It)

A quirky show that makes you laugh even if you have no idea why…? This lightning fast show is about Sam Wilson apologising to someone by working his way through a set of PowerPoint slides. I giggled throughout because of the absurd nature of the script but also James Akka’s epic portrayal of a schoolboy. There is plenty of humour, with the show constantly surprising you about where it is going, and if you enjoy silliness, this is definitely for you. Given its quick-fire nature, and the fact that there was no stage set other than a screen, I was surprised by how well it kept my attention. Not sure if ‘PowerPoint theatre’ is considered its own genre, but given this excellent example, it should be.

Pleasance Courtyard, until 25 Aug.
