After an hour of rapturous applause it’s clear that The Hoff is still revered as a legend, though the reasons why are less clear. This show seemed to mainly consist of video montages of Hasselhoff’s more memorable moments (mainly ‘Knight Rider’ and ‘Baywatch’). When he was actually on-stage the Hoff sang a selection of his hits and a few covers, occasionally pausing to share a rambling, self-indulgent anecdote. With crass, awkward humour, numerous missed cues and constant flat singing this performance was as incohesive as it was inadequate. The fact that one of the biggest reactions came from a wardrobe malfunction during the finale was proof of the Hoff’s impenetrable popularity, but also of the unsatisfactory nature of the show.
