Marc Burrows is a passionate music fan, and that’s what comes over most in this ten-song rundown complete with PowerPoint. He memorably describes one song as “sounding like running downhill feels”. While there’s a little bit of musicology, Burrows is a stand-up, so there’s a decent sprinkling of knob gags thrown in. Burrows’ selections aren’t a debatable ‘best songs’ list; it’s the ten songs that have personal meaning to him that “pin a moment in time to the board”. That personal quality makes the show quite relatable to an audience, so even if the type of music isn’t your thing, like me, you’ll probably be inspired to have your own top 10 songs playing in your head.
