ED2013 4/5 Reviews ED2013 Theatre Reviews

Delve into the reality of the American superhero with this ensemble cast’s production. Why are we so obsessed with the man behind the mask? Is anyone really super? When it comes down to it, who’s really going to protect us? This play discusses the American view of justice and whether or not it is possible to achieve this in the real world. At times a bit preachy but never one-sided, the cast discuss the death penalty as they switch between playing a classroom of kids presenting their superhero projects and a community of adults debating what should be done with one of their citizens who has been convicted of killing a police officer. This conversation starter is definitely worth watching.
Greenside, until 24 Aug, 2.45pm.
