Killing Miss D (Daphna “MissD” Baram)

By | Published on Tuesday 27 August 2013

Miss D is the alter ego of the long suffering, Israeli lawyer and journalist Daphna Baram. Miss D is a sexual predator, job opportunity-ruiner and general deviant, but she’s also the only way that Baram can have fun. Here she tells the story of the difficult relationship she has with her other half and how things have gone almost fatally wrong for them both. The timing, preparation and delivery of the jokes were disappointing, and did few favours to Baram’s otherwise funny personality and great story – both of which should have made for a great show. While the scattered nature of her storytelling took away from her punchy humour and would have better suited a half hour slot. The show’s potential was clear but unfortunately it failed to entertain.

Laughing Horse @ Jekyll & Hyde, until 15 Aug, 6.45pm.
