Briefs – The Second Coming (Briefs / Assembly)
By Rebecca Lunn | Published on Sunday 11 August 2013
Offering a glittering acrobatic extravaganza, Briefs were outstanding last year and they don’t disappoint now; they are itching to strip down from the moment they step on stage, prancing around fabulously in high heels before tumbling effortlessly into a string of acrobatics in nothing but sequin thongs. ‘Briefs’ is not one for the faint hearted though, as the performers aren’t afraid to let the audience get up close and personal with their private parts. As the show goes on and costumes become increasingly outlandish, the crowd screams in excitement. I would recommend waterproof mascara if you plan on sitting in the front row, as the Las Vegas King of Burlesque 2011 splashes around in the penultimate acrobatic performance, ahead of a sparklingly beautiful finale.
Assembly George Square, until 26 Aug (not 13), 7.50pm.
