Be Fruitful And Multiply (1945 Productions)
By Veronika Kallus | Published on Friday 24 August 2012
A fresh and surprising musical about the creation of the world. Does that sound too religious for you? Well, don’t worry. Some knowledge of scripture helps with understanding more of the many clever jokes, but the less seriously you take this, the more you’ll enjoy it. A fierce and funny power struggle between two big corporate (all-powerful?) bosses and their neglected wives, Addie and Eva. They are all there on stage together with a supreme live band, shouting out the story in song. Grand voices, catching melodies, a fitting cast. After the show people were still humming the songs out in the streets. And there is the ever-returning question – is Satan really the bad guy?
