The Birmingham Footnotes Drop Their Trousers (Birmingham Footnotes / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Miranda Cannibal | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
After the musical number at the start, I thought I was in for an exceptional show. However, as it progressed, it became more lifeless and I realised that I was merely watching an average, mildly entertaining show. The skits are quick, sharp and witty at least some of the time, but there is nothing especially hilarious or unique about the show. The group /perform various sketches touching on subjects such as Where’s Wally in witness protection; Harry Potter; Star Wars; Dance-Offs and the annoyances of trains. The Birmingham Footnotes work well together, are entertaining to watch and will keep you amused for the hour, but they don’t reach the heights I originally anticipated.
