Triangle (American High School Theatre Festival)

With such an eventful century that we are having, it often becomes too easy to forget the past. This play, however, makes an effort to recall a significant historical moment: the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in New York, which killed 146 workers who had been forced to work in unsafe conditions. Featuring devoted friendships and limitless sisterly love, the plot seemed endearing enough; however, any potential the latter may have had was hampered by a lack of general acting skills. Whether over-acting or under-acting, an absence of dramatic talent was something the whole cast seemed to have in common. And, as a performance is indeed nothing without its performers, there is no way this one could have scored any higher.
