Dial H! For Hitchcock: Three Actors, Three Films, Thirty Minutes (The Espians Theatre Company)
By Ella Fryer-Smith | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Make sure you gasp for air. Watching this fast-paced comical take on three of Hitchcock’s films is a class act, but boy, is it tiring to watch! These three actors have comic-timing down to a tee as they bombard the audience by playing at least eight characters each throughout the show. Their use of props and sound effects is imaginative and works wonderfully. The script is often averted with a running commentary to the crowd about how low-budget the production is and how they have had to compromise. However, it is quick-witted and possibly one of the best forty minutes you could have at the Fringe so far. Only showing for two days, this deserves to be a sell-out!
