Cabaret V 2.0 (Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society)

By | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011

2011 showcases a Cabaret section in the Fringe programme for the first time, and these Dons of Cabaret couldn’t have been more excited discussing the genre, its history, and its future possibilities. Highlights included appearances from Dresden Dolls singer Amanda Palmer, the Creative Martyrs, and Piff The Magic Dragon. Sadly for you, it was a one time event so you’ll have to wait until next year to see what advances have been made with the genre of Cabaret. For now, this cast of revellers will continue with their ‘formal promiscuity and condoned performance sluttiness’. But do check out the ever growing section of Cabaret on offer this festival – they promised you’ll see more than just tits.

Fringe Central, 14 Aug, 2.00pm (4.30pm), free, fpp180.
