Tom Lenk: Nerdgasm (Tom Lenk)
By Samuel Johnston | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
If you are one of the few people who got their hands on a ticket for this sell-out one-off show, then you are going to be the sort of person who screams excitedly at absolutely anything that Tom Lenk says. Before you come after me with your ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ replica stakes (for that is how he achieved fame), I will say that this performance was excellent niche comedy and managed to give his audience almost everything they wanted. Almost. A distressingly little part of the evening was devoted to talking about Buffy, which, given this is someone who is only really famous for that show and a series of Pepsi adverts (don’t worry, they were discussed), felt a little odd.
Pleasance Courtyard, 12 Aug, 10.40pm (11.40pm), £12.50, fpp161.
