So On And So Forth Present Human Era (So On And So Forth)
By Julian Benson | Published on Saturday 27 August 2011
These three comedians put on a wonderfully constructed, written, and performed sketch show, with an excellent set of sometimes surreal drama. Particularly enjoyable are the call backs that thread the piece together; the sketches don’t link through plot or carry over transitions, but frequent references to a deceased member, Quentin, and the ongoing legal struggle over the rights to his material are a well used tool to make these unconnected scenes into a show. As well as evidently being good writers, the three have truly expressive faces, with some sketches dependent on their ability to hold a scene with these alone. This tight performance has laughs throughout – a skill I’ve grown to value greatly at this year’s festival.
