No Pants Thursday
By Jennifer Ajderian | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Do you love boy-bands, brightly coloured underwear and late-night sketch shows? Hate comedians wearing trousers? Then ‘No Pants Thursday’ is the show for you! A four-man sketch troupe mainly from Ireland, the boys dance around stage between skits in energetically choreographed routines and gorgeously coordinated pant-and-shoe combinations. As well as sketches, we see discussions between the four members of NPT and their own characters shine through – particularly that of the token dim Englishman. Though in-depth IRA jokes may leave some confused, the physical sides to the comedy more than make up for this. From re-imagined cartoon theme tunes to bad cops with bad puns, NPT are fantastic any day of the week and even if you are wearing pants.
