Peter Pan – Learn to Fly (ANGELS Aerials)
By Rosalind Scott | Published on Monday 15 August 2011
They have the gifts of a great space, good costumes and, above all, a wonderful story to portray, so it is disappointing that this company did not produce something better. The cast is much too small to shoulder such an ambitious production; six actresses play all the parts, so it becomes confusing as to who is playing whom. The harnesses are used far too often with little expertise, and the acting becomes even less coherent as the actors swing from one side of the stage to the other. Ultimately, this is a play with as much coherence as a children’s imaginary game. Peter Pan never grew up but I think it’s time this company did.
